First Christian Church Texhoma is a Purpose Driven Church

FCC is a church built on the GREAT COMMITMENT to the GREAT COMMANDMENT and the GREAT COMMISSION.

LOVE GOD 

To love God is to take the first step towards following the GREAT COMMANDMENT. "LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind..." (Matthew 22:37)

LOVE OTHERS

To love others is to take the second but equal step of following the GREAT COMMANDMENT. "And the second is like it: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:39-40)

BELIEVE

Following the Great Commandment then leads us to be a people of The Great Commission. At FCC we define this as BELIEVE, BECOME, BELONG. These three steps are the components that come together to form The Great Commission. To follow The Great Commission we must BELIEVE. "Therefore GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES of all nations... (Matthew 28:19a)

BECOME

When we trust that Jesus is our Savior then we must BECOME more like Him. One of the first ways we BECOME more like Jesus is to be baptized like Him. "...BAPTIZING THEM in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19b)


BELONG

As we BELIEVE in Jesus and we BECOME more like Him we will also need to BELONG to His family, the Church. "...TEACHING THEM TO DO everything I commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
